New Year's Day Wedding at The Garrett - Amy + Steve

Amy + Steve never imagined that their wedding day in 2022 would be affected by covid, and yet… that sadly wasn’t the case. Nonetheless, these two pushed through and managed to plan a beautiful intimate ceremony with friends and family only a WEEK before their wedding day. Following their ceremony, we raced to catch the last bit of light at one of my favourite locations - the Calgary Central Library. My favourite moment of the day was when their guests surprised them with sparklers (something from their original wedding plans that they had been looking forward to) as we arrived back at the venue after portraits.

As disappointing as it was not having the day they originally dreamed about, I know they are that much more excited to celebrate with their people when it’s safe to do so (I know I am!).
