Willow Lane Barn Wedding: Melissa + Arbee

Their love story could be a movie - boy meets girl, girl is dating another boy, so boy decides to patiently waits because according to him: “I knew I had met the love of my life when she smiled at me". So when the time finally comes when girl is no longer in a relationship, boy makes a point to check in on girl. Girl starts to look forward to those check ins, and the rest, as you say, is history (seriously, somebody bring this movie to Netflix please).

If I could relive this day all over again, I would. Melissa + Arbee are not only some of the kindest people I’ve ever met, but their friends + family are as well. You could tell how excited everyone was to celebrate with these two.

After getting ready in Olds, Melissa and her girls got portraits done at the Olds Campus that has absolutely beautiful gardens (my fav!). We then headed to Willow Lane Barn, which was the perfect backdrop for their wedding. They have a ton of great backdrops for portraits - the swing, the old truck and the tree lined driveway were my favourite to utilize.

One of my favourite moments of the day was after being pronounced Mr + Mrs, Melissa + Albee, their wedding party and their parents danced their way down the aisle. The dancing continued all throughout the evening - it was so fun getting to watch!

When I asked them what they were most looking forward to on their wedding, they said “bringing people together and celebrating with them” and boy did they ever accomplish that. This was a long day in the making and everyone partied accordingly.

Melissa + Arbee, I have loved getting to know you both and can't thank you enough for allowing me to be part of your beautiful day!
