Colourful Summer Brunch Wedding at the Deane House: Meghan + Davis
This was one of those weddings I wish I could photograph all over again.
Meghan + Davis could not have chosen a more beautiful venue to celebrate with their people. The Deane House is one of my favourite venues in the city - the historic charm, the beautiful gardens, and the proximity to the river + downtown is a photographer’s dream. And not to mention the food (if you haven’t gotten a chance to eat at this restaurant, do yourself a favour and book a table ASAP!).
Meghan and Davis opted for a brunch reception, which meant the morning light we got in the gardens was absolutely magical for their first look and private vows. By choosing to do photos before the ceremony, Meghan and Davis gave themselves the gift of time. Instead of disappearing for portraits later, they spent the space between the ceremony and brunch exactly how they wanted—visiting with guests, playing lawn games, and soaking up the morning with the people they love most.
